Picus Book Player

The Picus Book Player (PBP) is designed to listen audio books and compressed audio files which runs on Android OS. PBP supports some of new features like Variable Speed Playback, Sleep Timer, Book Marking and Resume on Sentence which make Picus Book Player more superior than the other Book Players available in Android market. Along with playing book files, PBP also plays the well known audio compressed format which enlists below.

Features
    
 
Chapter Navigation
User can move to next or previous chapter by clicking the dedicated button provided on main window of Picus book Player's GUI.
Configurable seek/jump in seconds/minutes
The main screen GUI of the book player contains the button for to jump +/- 10 min. using this button user skip the audio in from of 10 minutes and in multiple of 10 min. Jump time is configurable and user can selects the value from the preference menu.
Go To Chapter
Book is consisting of the various chapters. User can go to desire chapter available in the book and start listen to that chapter directly.
Pause/Play Book

Restart playback from beginning of Book/Audio files
Variable Speed Playback (VSP) support
User can change the speed of the currently playing speech or audio using this feature. User has to change the time scale value using time scale change bar and according to the changed time scale value speed of playback will be changed. Range of the time scale value is 0.5 to 2.0. Default value is set to 1.0.
Sleep Timer Support
Sleep timer allows user to set the timer from the given menu. Suppose user selects the timer value to 15 min, after 15 min book player will stop automatically.
Resume on last played sentence
Book player is consisting of speech. After long pause, if user plays the book, sentence detection algorithm finds the beginning of the sentence and start playing book from that location irrespective of pause location.
Download Cover Art and Rotate Cover Art
Picus Book player displays the cover art for each book and each chapter on the top of the screen. It displays the cover art from the book if available. If Book does not contain the cover art it gives user the options to set the cover Art from the media gallery or from internet.
Bookmark support
User can selects any number of book mark in one book and can listen from that book mark any time later Now Playing List: Easy access to what is currently being played in the queue.
Default Playlists
Multilevel playlists sorted by Author and by Category of books. Playlists can be sorted as in A-Z and Z-A order. Also New and Read playlists for quick access to latest Book files.
Swipe gestures
User can change Book using Swipe left or right on album art.
